Search for an online Sales & Marketing Director

The Morland division of Interior Products Group Ltd. was delivering £26m sales across multiple channels. They needed a new Sales & Marketing Director to lead and inspire the team to even greater heights.

The Challenge

They required someone who understood the niche markets they serviced – caravan and boat interiors, and fire doors – as well as being an ecommerce specialist. Following an exploratory meeting, Seymour John was retained to undertake a bespoke search. This would include advertising, and competency-based interviewing, to supply the client with a considered, fit-scored shortlist.

The Solution

Seymour John uses industry leading search technologies to proactively scour candidate profiles across LinkedIn, CV Library, Reed and Totaljobs. We combined this approach with targeted advertising to generate a range of suitable candidates. Over 100 candidates were considered. We selected the most suitable 13 to go through a detailed competency-based interview, which carefully aligned our client’s priorities around fit. These were scored and ranked against each other so we could present a considered set of interview recommendations.

The Result

Three of our five shortlisted candidates were offered a second interview. An offer was made and accepted, the successful candidate relocating with their family to the area.
